As many of you know, we have been beta testing Journeys 2.0 for the past month or so. Everything has been going really well for us and we are excited to announce that we are moving forward with launching Journeys 2.0!

We are very excited abut this and are sure that you are going to love the changes that we have made. If you have been in the beta test, you saw that we have worked to make it a lot easier for you to start engaging with the Bible by having to only enter an email address or send a text to start receiving your journey.

As we prepare for launching Journeys 2.0, we want to make you aware that this will be a pretty large change to the site, so don’t be alarmed when you see a large change to the site. You can get a quick sneak peed at the new design in the image below.

This is an exciting time of year. Flowers are blooming, trees are turning green and the weather is getting warmer.

It is also the time of the year when we pause to reflect on what Jesus did for us over 2,000 years ago. It is a time to remember the death of Christ on the cross and, more importantly, his resurrection.

In light of that Good News, we have hand-picked a few Journeys that will take you through 7 days of Scripture focusing on the topics of grace, faith, and peace. Sign up for them and take a few minutes each day to reflect on your faith in the Lord, the grace he poured out on us and the abundant peace that he offers us through his death and resurrection.

For the past 6 months we have been working extremely hard on two big and exciting projects. We have already announced DayPack which we launched back in October of 2012. Today, I have the privilege of announcing the launch of the beta version of Journeys 2.0. We are not quite ready to open up Journeys 2.0 to the entire public, but we do want to open it up for any individuals who would like to try out the awesome new features that we have added and help us to ensure that it is working properly.

Journeys 2.0 is a pretty large change in the way that we approach Journeys as a whole. Up to this point, Journeys has been a place where you as an individual could come and browse the list of topics and journeys that we had available. From that point, you would sign up for one of the journeys that American Bible Society and other organizations have created and begin receiving daily Scripture messages to connect with around that topic that you selected.

With Journeys 2.0 we changed the focus to creating your own Scripture series to encourage those around you to connect with the Bible on a daily basis. DayPack helped introduce this idea by providing a quick and easy way to create your own Scripture series for one week. Journeys 2.0 takes this focus and adds a lot more awesome features on top of it. Features like, the ability to add media to your daily messages, add your own logo, and create series that are longer than 7 days! These are only a few of the features that we offer, and would love for you to sign up to try out and test Journeys 2.0 for us and explore everything that it has to offer.

We have recently launched a brand new journey that we think that you will love. Similar to our E-100 journey, we have created 100 days of engaging with Scripture to help you discover and understand who Jesus is and why he is so significant.

Journey through the life of Jesus for 100 days as you learn about him from passages in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Partner this with our E-100 journey that takes you through the entire Bible one day at a time.

If you have set up a 7-day Bible engagement series, here are some tips to help you promote it and share it with others.

1. Use the “Message” area in each day’s Scripture message. 

We created the “Message” area so you could share insights to help your subscribers dig more deeply into the passage. You can also include questions that are unique to your church or group, or suggested prayer points to help them engage with Scripture and support the community.

2. Title your DayPack well. 

It’s important to use a descriptive title that includes the theme or focus of the daypack. If your daypack is about being thankful then you will want to use a title like “Being Thankful in a Busy World.” The more descriptive the title, the better it is. This way, your church and small group will know that the daypack is from you and know the theme of the series.

3. Go viral with your daypack.

Social media venues are an excellent way to share your daypack with other friends outside your immediate church or group. We have built in ways to share your Daypack via Facebook and Twitter easily, but if there are other social media tools you use often, please let us know, and we’ll take that into consideration for future releases.
